When Using Spotify as the Playback Source

Causes

The playback progress provided by the Spotify API is inaccurate, caused by several factors.

1. The Spotify client may send progress to the Spotify server with errors or delays.
2. Lyricify Mobile may send progress requests to the Spotify server with errors or delays.
3. The progress from Spotify itself may be inaccurate.
   A series of reasons can lead to an inaccurate timeline for displaying lyrics.

Solutions

A delay within ±2s is considered normal.
Android users can try enabling Spotify’s Media Session enhancement to improve local playback progress synchronization.

When Using Apple Music or Media Session as the Playback Source

First, check if the music app provides accurate playback progress and whether the current lyrics timeline matches the song version. The Apple Music playback source on iOS can also use device delay management.

If only a specific song has an offset, try changing the lyrics source or adjusting the lyrics delay.
