Tracks & Lyrics Management

Lyricify Fusion has provided tracks and lyrics management features since 1.3.0, supporting the saving of online lyrics, selecting lyrics versions, importing local lyrics, and adjusting lyrics offsets. If the automatically retrieved lyrics are incorrect or if you need to use another version of the lyrics, you can modify them using this feature.

Right-click the Lyricify Fusion icon in the system notification area (tray), expand Tracks & Lyrics Management, and select the corresponding entry:

EntryDescription
Currently PlayingView and manage the lyrics of the currently playing track. The window will automatically update when the track changes.
All TracksView and manage saved tracks and lyrics without needing to play the corresponding track first.

You can also click Open in Settings → Lyrics → Tracks & Lyrics Management → Manage Saved Lyrics to access all tracks.

If the automatically retrieved lyrics are incorrect or if you need to change the lyrics version, you can do so by following these steps:

  1. Open Currently Playing and confirm the track information displayed at the top of the window. You can also select the track you need to manage in All Tracks.
  2. Select an online source from the Lyrics Source list, and the corresponding track information and lyrics preview will be displayed on the right.
  3. Click Change Version → Search and Select Version. If the source has not saved the lyrics yet, the button will display as Get Lyrics.
  4. Select the corresponding track from the search results, verify the song name, artist, album, duration, and lyrics preview, paying attention to different versions such as studio, live, cover, etc.
  5. Click Get and Save This Version to return to the management window.
  6. Select the saved version and click Pin for Use. If the main button shows Confirm Version, you can click the dropdown arrow next to it to select Pin for Use.
  7. Play the track and check whether the lyrics content and timeline are correct in Dynamic Lyrics Island, Desktop Lyrics, or other lyrics views.

Note: Clicking on the lyrics source only shows a preview; Get and Save This Version only saves the lyrics to your local machine. If you need to specify that this track uses this version, you also need to click Pin for Use. If you want to keep the automatic selection, you can use Confirm Version. The specific differences can be found in the section Lyrics Versions and Usage below.

Operation area for all tracks: track list, lyrics source list, version details, and lyrics preview.

The above image is a schematic of the operation area and is not a software screenshot. “Currently Playing” does not include the left track list; the operations in other areas are the same.

AreaDescription
TracksSearch, filter, and select saved tracks, view track information. Only displayed in “All Tracks.”
Lyrics SourceView online sources, local lyrics, and their status, select lyrics versions, and add other versions through Add Lyrics.
Version Details and Lyrics PreviewView source track information, lyrics, and translations, set usage methods, change versions, and open Effect Preview.

“Tracks” refers to the songs that need to be managed, “Lyrics Source” refers to the source providing the lyrics, and “Version” refers to a saved copy of the lyrics for that track. The same track can save lyrics from different sources and multiple local lyrics.

Labels such as “Line by Line,” “Word by Word,” “Syllable by Syllable,” and “Translation” indicate the types of lyrics information included in that version. Word-by-word highlighting requires the lyrics themselves to contain word or syllable timelines; lyrics with only line timelines cannot provide corresponding word effects.

Tracks and lyrics management provides the following usage methods:

Usage MethodDescriptionApplicable Situations
Pin for UseSpecify that the track uses a certain version until unpinned or changed. When it is confirmed that a certain lyrics version is needed.
Confirm VersionMark the online version as confirmed, prioritizing the use of confirmed versions in the current source order during automatic selection. When the lyrics have been confirmed as correct but still need to be automatically selected in source order.
Normal CacheRetain the retrieved online lyrics as existing results for automatic selection based on the corresponding source.Retain lyrics without confirming or pinning them.

Pinned versions take precedence over automatic selection. When no version is pinned, the program first considers confirmed versions, then selects lyrics based on source order and matching rules. The version actually used for playback will display a “Currently Used” label.

Clicking the information button next to the Lyrics Source title allows you to view the current selection rules. The session options in “All Tracks” can be used to view the rules corresponding to different players.

  • Online Version: After clicking Unpin, the version remains confirmed and will re-enter automatic selection. If you need to restore it to normal cache, you can continue to click Unconfirm.
  • Local Lyrics: After clicking Use Version (Use This Version), the version will be pinned for the currently managed track. Clicking Restore Automatic Selection will unpin it, and the saved local lyrics will still be retained.

The above buttons will change based on the status of the selected version, with some operations located in the dropdown menu next to the main button.

Note: Confirming and pinning only modifies local usage preferences and will not upload lyrics to the public library of Lyricify 4. Pinned versions are still affected by the settings for Automatically Updating Saved Online Lyrics.

If automatic search cannot find the correct version, you can look up the track on the corresponding music platform and import it via song ID or link:

  1. Select the corresponding online lyrics source and click Get Lyrics or Change Version.
  2. Choose Specify Version by ID or Link, and enter the song ID or link for that source.
  3. Click Parse, confirm the track information is correct, and then click Get and Save This Version.
  4. Return to the management window and select Pin for Use or Confirm Version.

The QQ Music source supports song ID, MID, or y.qq.com links; the NetEase Cloud Music source supports song ID or music.163.com links. Other sources support input formats as indicated in the import window prompts.

Note: The entered ID or link must belong to the selected source and correspond to a specific song.

Click Add Lyrics → Complete Online Sources, and the program will attempt to retrieve currently enabled online sources that have not yet saved lyrics. Once completed, you can select various versions to view lyrics and translations and set usage methods.

This operation will not replace existing versions. To re-search existing sources, please use Change Version.

  1. Confirm the track in Currently Playing or select the track you need to manage in All Tracks.
  2. Click Add Lyrics → Import Local Lyrics File, and select the lyrics file.
  3. In the editing window, check the lyrics content and Lyrics Format, then click Save.
  4. Return to the management window, select the newly added local lyrics, and click Use Version to pin it for that track.
  5. Play the track and check whether the lyrics content and timeline are correct.

Supported formats include LRC, QRC, KRC, YRC, TTML, Lyricify Lines, and Lyricify Syllable. The file selector also supports TTML files with the .xml extension. The lyrics content must conform to the corresponding format and include valid timelines.

Click Add Lyrics → Add Lyrics from Text, select the lyrics format, paste the lyrics content with timelines, and then click Save. After saving, you also need to select that version and click Use Version.

For example, the LRC format is as follows:

[00:05.00]First line of lyrics
[00:10.00]Second line of lyrics

[00:05.00] indicates that this line of lyrics starts at the 5-second mark. Text without timelines cannot be used for syncing lyrics; .txt files cannot be directly imported, and merely changing the extension will not convert plain text into lyrics. For methods of creating lyrics, refer to the Lyrics Guide and Standards.

If you need to add translations, you can switch to Chinese Translation (Optional) in the editing window, fill in the corresponding timed translation for the main lyrics, and then click Save.

Select the local lyrics, click More (···) → Edit Local Lyrics, and you can modify the saved content. The Rename option in the same menu allows you to change the version name.

Online lyrics do not support direct editing. If you need to modify online lyrics content, you can add the lyrics text as a local version and then edit it.

If the lyrics content is correct but the timeline is overall ahead or behind, you can set a lyrics offset for the corresponding version:

  1. Select the version that needs adjustment, click More (···) → Adjust Lyrics Offset.
  2. In the effect preview window, enable Follow Playback, play the corresponding track, and modify the Lyrics Offset.
  3. Once the timeline is confirmed to be correct, click Save Offset.

The offset unit is in milliseconds, with 1000 ms = 1 second. A positive value delays the lyrics, while a negative value advances the lyrics. For example, when the current offset is 0:

Timeline DeviationAdjustment Method
Lyrics ahead by 500 millisecondsSet the offset to 500 ms.
Lyrics behind by 500 millisecondsSet the offset to -500 ms.

Note:

  1. After modifying values in the preview window, you need to click Save Offset for it to be saved. Clicking Reset will restore the value to 0, and you will also need to save afterward.
  2. When there is no active playback session, the effect preview uses simulated playback. To check the actual sync effect, you need to play the corresponding track and enable Follow Playback.
  3. If the timeline deviations of different parts of the lyrics are different, overall offset adjustments cannot correct them; it is recommended to change to a version with correct timelines.
  4. If all tracks have similar timeline deviations, you can check the device and application delay settings.

“All Tracks” supports searching by song name, artist, or album, and you can locate the search box using Ctrl + F. You can also filter by usage method, whether local lyrics are included, saved sources, etc., and sort by most recently managed, most recently played, or title.

If the list does not display newly saved tracks, you can click the Refresh Track Library button in the upper right corner and check the filter conditions. This button only reloads the track and lyrics version list and will not re-search or download lyrics.

OperationDescription
More → Re-fetch Lyrics for This VersionRe-download the same version of lyrics using the saved ID or link.
Change Version → Automatically Search and ReplaceRe-search the source and replace the saved version while retaining pinned, confirmed, or cached status.
More → Delete This VersionDelete the selected lyrics version while retaining other versions.
Right-click Track → Delete Track from LibraryDelete the track and all its saved lyrics versions, requiring confirmation in the prompt box.

Deleting a track from the library will not delete the song from the player or local audio files. When played again, lyrics that meet the automatic saving conditions may still be re-saved.

Through the copy menu in the lyrics preview area, you can copy the lyrics text, text with translation, or text with timelines. Click More → View Original Lyrics to view the original lyrics data saved for that version.

In Settings → Lyrics → Tracks & Lyrics Management, you can modify the following options:

SettingDescription
Automatically Save Online LyricsSave selected available lyrics to local storage; whether to auto-save depends on Automatic Save Minimum Match.
Automatically Update Saved Online LyricsWhen using saved online lyrics, check and save updates in the background.
Tracks & Lyrics Management SwitchEnabled by default. When turned off, lyrics will no longer be read or auto-saved, but existing data will still be retained.

Each player also has a corresponding tracks and lyrics management switch; when turned off, the application will only search for lyrics online.

Confirm that the managed track matches the currently playing track and check if another version has been pinned. Simply saving or previewing lyrics will not pin them for use; online versions need to select Pin for Use, while local versions need to select Use Version.

If Confirm Version is selected, the program will still automatically select based on the source order of confirmed versions. Ensure that the global and corresponding player’s tracks and lyrics management switches are enabled.

Check if the source is enabled, whether the network connection is normal, and complete any required authorizations as prompted in the window. If there are no search results, you can modify the keywords or look up the correct track on the corresponding music platform and import it via ID or link.

Finding a track does not mean that there are available lyrics. Tracks without timelines or purely instrumental results may not be saved as synced lyrics.

Lyrics Do Not Have Word-by-Word Timelines or Translations

Section titled “Lyrics Do Not Have Word-by-Word Timelines or Translations”

Check whether the selected version contains the corresponding labels. Translations also need to be enabled in Settings → Lyrics under Chinese Translation. Changing the lyrics source will not add missing word-by-word timelines or translations to the original lyrics.

Automatic saving is affected by the settings for Automatically Save Online Lyrics and Automatic Save Minimum Match, so played tracks may not necessarily be saved. You can manually fetch or import lyrics, then click Refresh Track Library to check and ensure that filtering is enabled.

Track and lyrics data is stored locally and will not automatically sync to other devices. For migration, please refer to Configuration File Migration. After exiting Lyricify Fusion on both devices, copy the LyricsCatalog.db from the configuration directory. Simply copying Settings.json will not migrate the track and lyrics library.
